I had a chance to follow closely Larry madow as he did his CNN reporting during the protest ,police could fire tear gas to him and others local and international media Journalists and protesters who tried to gather many people went home with gunshot wounds and body injuries caused by teargas canisters fired directly to people at close proximity despite the challenges we continued going on the streets with more maandamano thinking we could get our issues addressed, I had a chance to reach state house with my PA where we received a violent reception by the police securing the property despite the fact we explained our Quest to the officers in charge and we appeared as individuals not in a protest form
we went on with demonstrations just to realised that other goons and groups had started taking advantage of the protest and the protest had not been what we had started or wanted I wrote to different key social media influencers in the movement of the decision to change our tactics in the revolution and start activisim and public awareness of citizens rights this has been what has been happening and has been witnessed through the civil defains by the youth that lead to abductions and killings myself I was a victim of abductions on November but residents of Accra road near simba coach stage rescued me from the 2 police officers who were in plain clothes and had produced an id to confirm that they we indeed police officers but were using unprofessional ways to silence the youths this became normal as was reported on local media outlets police started picking youth and either detaining them for over the speculated 24hrs and assaulting people I had a chance to go to Kiambu police station where I had answered a call from a KIST Kiambu National Polytechnic students who claimed to be foulsly accused and intimidated by police officers in Kiambu town to offer bribe to secure their freedom I answered their call and the police officers upon realisation that I was there to defend the accused and not offer bribe I was abducted and kept in police cell without a legal reason to do so they denied me access to the people outside and the following day they present me in court having foulsly accused me of being Drunk and disorderly but had made a serious mistake when placing their charges they had recorded my name incorrectly the name read as Raphael Njagi not Raphael Njogu I explained to the judge my situation and I was freed at Kiambu court on a free bond. I have had the chance to travel in various counties with the brand ovo plc that has helped the movement in public engagement through art mobilisation and influence in the Gen Z movement and now to the formation of the ovo party of kenya 🇰🇪
The party is in the Registration process at the time I am writing this article Constituting it's Constitution and Manifestor and official and mass members Registration process we have been facing intimidation during the execution of our day to day business this have been frustrating especially coming from the police officers and members of the public in different sectors this has not made us change our goal to organise the Gen Zs political
Recently I have had an encounter of assault on me by a police officer attacked at Fahari police station utawala and is reported at Ruai police station. This are just highlights of numerous assault and intimidation incidents that i have experience this incident will now support my claim to get state security personnel and facilities in the execution of my job as the Gen Zs president and my role in the formation of the ovo party of kenya. I am pleased to have the support of you all that we have closed ways and agreed to work together on different levels for the GENZs Future.
